I am super excited to announce that we are working on Monster Train 2! Not only that, there is a playable demo out right now on Steam. We just launched it a few minutes ago.
MT2 features five new clans, a new adventure in Heaven, customizable Pyre Hearts with a variety of gameplay, new Room and Equipment card types, unit abilities, endless mode, an expanded Logbook, Dimensional Challenges, Daily Challenges, new story segments for the lore fiends, and a lot more. The demo gives a taste of two of the new clans and two Pyre Hearts (one requires unlocking).
The demo and full game will be available in the following languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Our localization is still in progress, so if you play in another language and see an issue feel free to let us know.
The full game will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series. We have put in effort to improve the experience on controller and make text legible on small screens. I think the game plays great on the Steam Deck already.
We are not announcing a release date yet but stay tuned.
As part of the announcement we will be transitioning this Discord into covering all of Shiny Shoe's games: Monster Train 2, Monster Train 1, Inkbound, and hopefully many more to come. Please give us a little bit of time to do some channel rearrangement and housekeeping.
We will be doing two live streams today on our Twitch channel if you'd like to hang out and chat about the game. One will be at 11 am Pacific time (UTC-8) and the other will be at 4 pm Pacific time (UTC-8). The streams will have me and game director Andrew (aka Avarem) playing the demo and answering viewer questions.
