Hi, Monster Train 2 Fans!

Monster Train 2 is officially one year old! The last 12 months have been packed with free content updates, PC Gamer exclusives, hitting 500,000 players soon after launch, and an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. 

 We’ve launched two amazing free updates, starting with the Lost Arsenal update on September 10, 2025, which included new cards, two new events, and an in-depth balance pass across the entire game with a focus on cards from the first Monster Train.

Then followed by Echoes from the Void on November 5, 2025. With brand new bosses that posed harder challenges players had yet to see, the update also offered new Artifacts, new Train Cosmetics, and a full new series of Dimensional Challenges.

Together, both free content updates added hundreds of more gameplay hours for players to enjoy.

In early 2026, we launched Monster Train 2’s first DLC, Destiny of the Railforged. The DLC contained a completely new clan, the Railforged Clan, a new gameplay mode called Soul Savior mode, a new Boss and enemies and the addition of the original Monster Train’s clan, the Wurmkin, to the world of Monster Train 2.

We are thrilled to announce that on February 2, 2026, we will be launching not one, but two massive content updates for Monster Train 2! Get ready for the next chapter with the paid DLC, Destiny of the Railforged, alongside a completely free content update for all Monster Train 2 players! Monster Train 2: Destiny of the Railforged will be available for $9.99 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The DLC will also be available on Nintendo Switch but a few days later on February 10, 2026.

Monster Train 2’s first DLC will include…

• A completely new clan, The Railforged Clan: The combined genius of Herzal and Heph gives rise to a new clan made of soldiers of their own designs.
• A Brand New Final Boss and Enemies: The clans of Hell are threatened once more, this time by an enemy from a new dimension. With Her comes new warriors and twisted angels hungry for revenge!
• New Roguelite Game Mode: This new mode challenges player strategy in a whole new way. With more enemies to battle, now the order you defeat bosses on the way to the final boss will impact rewards at the end. Collect and combine game-breaking power boosts for fresh, powerful runs!

All this and more awaits players on February 2, 2026 with the launch of Destiny of the Railforged!

Alongside the release of the DLC, we are excited to deliver a completely free update for all players. On February 2nd, we are bringing back the beloved Wurmkin Clan! This addition will bring even more depth and replayability to your runs—no DLC required.
